Monochrome In Style: Daniel Arsham’s Dinner In White With Kyle DeWoody

From white food to white clothes to white wine, Daniel Arsham created a “Dinner In White” hosted by Kyle DeWoody this past weekend in celebration of his three week residency at The Surf Lodge in Montauk.

In an attempt to show that not all is what it seems, Arsham took a seemingly bland all-white decor and white-themed dinner and created a posh dinner event. Arsham has been staying at the Surf Lodge creating a new series of work that will be unveiled on Sunday, July 27.

Arsham’s artistic style is highly monochromatic, so it only makes sense that a dinner of his design would be made to the same effect. From white asparagus, white corn, white wine, and white Amish chicken, Arsham worked with chef Michael Hamilton to create the all-white experience for guests to enjoy followed by a performance from Gary Clark Jr.
