Friedman Benda Presents nendo’s Dreamy Watercolour Collection

No contributor

Friedman Benda debuted nendo’s latest collection at Design Miami/ Basel this week, the Watercolour Collection. It features 18 pieces of ethereal furniture inspired by the way watercolor paints interact with paper.

The Watercolour Collection showcases nendo’s signature lightness of touch and precise execution through a series of metal chairs, benches, and multi-tiered shelves and tables. Each dreamy piece was created using a variation of ellipses complemented by thin legs, seemingly floating on air. The furniture was hand painted to ensure the perfect placement of a two-tone ink, which bleeds and blurs softly onto a sanded white matte finish.
