This year marks the 57th iteration of Salone del Mobile in Milan, taking place April 17—22. More than 2,000 exhibitors will come together to present new products, projects, and solutions for living today. Visitors will notice an investigation into the future of design, specifically looking at technology, flexibility, and sustainability.
The Salone Internazionale del Mobile is once again being held concurrently with the International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition, split into the following style categories: Classic: Tradition in the Future, Design, and xLux. The two annual exhibitions this year are flanked by the biennial EuroCucina and its collateral event FTK (Technology For the Kitchen) and the International Bathroom Exhibition—bringing together an increasing number of companies from both sectors.
The 21st edition of SaloneSatellite is dedicated to the under-35 crowd, with a theme of “Africa/Latin America: Rising Design.” The Latin American section will be curated by designers Humberto and Fernando Campana, while the African section is curated by Hicham Lahlou, founder of the Africa Design Award & Days.
