Touring Carpenters Workshop Gallery’s New Fifth Avenue Space

Late last year, Carpenters Workshop Gallery debuted its stunning new space in New York in the iconic Takashimaya building on Fifth Avenue. Owners Julien Lombrail & Loïc Le Gaillard invited David Chipperfield to renovate the top two floors of the site to showcase an inaugural show of design pieces by Ingrid Donat, Vincent Dubourg, Studio Job, Random International, Robert Stadler, Nacho Carbonell, and Vincenzo De Cotiis. New York marks the third location for the gallery, with successful outposts in London and Paris. Above is a slideshow of the first installation that opened in November 2015.
