Andy Warhol’s “Silver Clouds” Float at Calvin Klein

No contributor

This week, Calvin Klein unveiled its reimagining of Andy Warhol’s Silver Clouds in partnership with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. The site-specificinstallation can be found at the CALVIN KLEIN 205W39NYC flagship store on Madison Avenue and is on view through February 28.

The balloons in Silver Clouds are printed with images found in the spring 2018 runway collection, entitled “Warhol’s Death and Disaster Series and portraits of Confidantes.” The floating helium balloons were first shown by the artist in 1966 at Leo Castelli gallery in NewYork.

Calvin Klein’s support of The Andy Warhol Foundation will aid the distribution of grants to sustain creation, presentation and documentation of contemporary visual art, continuing Warhol’s legacy.
