Angelys Balek, known for her gorgeous designs gracing the red carpet, has started on a new adventure with a collection of active wear and swimwear for spring/summer 2018. The line incorporated the Balek’s signature nature-inspired prints, but also includes art and sculptural shapes through cut-outs, colors, and surprising silhouettes. The energetic collection encourages women to embrace their individualism, celebrating that liberation in striking textures in figure-flattering cuts. Playful one-pieces featured low backs, cut-outs, and thick straps that cross around the neck; two pieces have high-waist bottoms coupled with triangle tops; and rash guards with long sleeves boasted geometric prints, cut-outs, and ruffles.
For a first foray into active wear, Angelys Balek introduced tops, bras, and leggings that vary in length, structure, and color. Like in swim, we saw a balance between color and form. Sports bras and wide-sleeve tops were paired with high-waist leggings and mesh detailing on the front or side.
Between art and nature, color and cut, the new Angelys Balek offerings for spring emobdy glamour and confidence—the essence of what the designer calls the “AB world.”
