Gucci’s Furry and Adorable Year of the Dog Campaign

No contributor

Today is the first day of the Chinese New Year, and to celebrate the Year of the Dog, Gucci has launched a dedicated collection. The inspiration behind it all is a pillow gifted to Gucci’s creative director Alessandra Michele by artist Helen Downie, aka Unskilled Worker, featuring an
illustration of his two Boston terriers, Bosco and Orso. Appropriately, dog motifs and illustrations adorn 63 collection items in total, including items of clothing, shoes, handbags, luggage, small leather goods and accessories.

This playful collection, shot by Petra Collins, will be promoted across Gucci’s digital channels, notably their newly launched e-commerce channel in China. Special interactive content for Iphone X users will bring Bosco and Orso to life with facial recognition technology and allow
video recording and sharing through the Gucci App.

The collection is available now online and in Gucci stores with special packaging for the campaign, displayed in dedicated windows featuring tartan walls, floors, and upholstery.
