September 7, 2017 marked Noon By Noor’s 11th return to New York Fashion Week, where celebrities such as Kate Mara, Caitriona Balfe, Tara Swennen, and Leigh Lezark were in attendance at Skylight Clarkson Square. While these notables donned the designer’s new collection from the front row, leading models Lina Hoss, Lia Pavlova, and Odette Pavlova represented the brand on the runway.
The designers, Sheikha Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Sheikha Haya Mohammed Al Khalifa, drew upon influences from their home country of Bahrain to create a collection featuring a modern take on traditional styles. The pair used a red and white color palette to accentuate the sheer and silk fabrics that added an edge to traditional Bahraini shapes, while also including a casual yet chic selection of cotton t-shirts. Written in Arabic script, words such as “Love” and “Wisdom” were embroidered and printed on the front, accompanied by an English translation on the back.

Noon by Noor also debuted their first handbag designs after collaborating with L.A.-based handbag designer Tyler Ellis. The 10-piece capsule collection features two styles, the Kelly Box and the Lee Pouchet envelope clutch.
