The Italian designer Elsa Schiaparelli surrounded herself with empowered, creative, and modern women, in turn inspiring her own inner strength and self expression. She designed with the idea to challenge and renew one’s self; knowing that femininity can breathe life into personality.
Grace and elegance are two words that define the Schiaparelli fall/winter 2017-18 haute couture collection. Sophistication was achieved with exquisite textures, gravity-defying silhouettes, and deconstructed garments reminiscent of abstract compositions. Jackets were lined with silk chiffon and gowns were layered in silk and embroidered with lace. Soft hues made up the palette of the collection in lovely whites and pinks. Accessories such as belts, collars, bracelets, and Swarovski crystals sparkled, adding the perfect touch to the collection.
