Brand New: Louis Vuitton x Alex Israel, Gucci’s FW19 Eyewear, Missoni’s New Book, and More

To keep you in touch with the latest and greatest debuts in the worlds of fashion, art, and lifestyle, we’re sharing these Brand New releases by Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Missoni, and more.

Louis Vuitton released a capsule collection of textiles, created in collaboration with Alex Israel. Known for his vibrant aesthetic, the Los Angeles-based artist created designs with graphics inspired by his works, like Wave paintings (which have been turned into multicolored scarves double-sided with Louis Vuitton’s monogram pattern) and his 2015 bronze sculpture, Desperado (which has been re-imagined as a bandeau depicting a desert scene with cacti and cars).

Gucci’s Fall/Winter 2019 eyewear collection, “Getaway Mood,” features a selection of large rounded frames perfect for dreamy seaside holidays. The glasses—including a pair with the iconic red and green Gucci stripes, and one that mixes tortoise shell and pearly white—each feature romantic words like “soave amore” and “maison del’amour” on the front of the frames. A slim design at the temples is completed by a letter G and a tiny iteration of the house’s bumblebee.

Luxury fashion house Missoni has released Missoni. The Great Italian Fashion—a book telling the tale of the family’s rise in the fashion world since the early 1950s. Written by Massimiliano Capella, it features a number of thematic sections—each with introductions by members of the Missoni family—like “On Beauty and Harmony,” “Fashion and the Performing Arts,” and “Missoni Home.” In the limited-edition volume of 899 hand-numbered copies, readers will find photographs, original dress patterns, fabrics, color trials, drawings, and other archival materials that help illustrate the family’s journey to becoming an ever-recognizable icon of style.

Accompanying Marni’s Fall/Winter 2019 collection, the brand introduced the epitome of simplicity with the Marcel bag. Available in either a square or a rectangular silhouette, the handbag features a minimalistic design with clean, essential lines, and a rounded clutch-style handle in gold. The soft leather bag is also available in a number of hues, including tobacco, red, cognac, and charcoal gray.

Special for foodies, you can now take a delectable food tour through Italy with Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts with Chef Niko Romito’s new “Grand Tour” project. At Bvlgari Hotels’ Il Ristorante, Romito has created a special menu designed to guide the taste buds through the country’s most-loved cities like Rome, Palermo, Venice, and Florence via dishes like Fagioli alla Fiorentina, Caponata, Gamberi in saor, and Cassata.
