Celebrating the Whitewaller App Launch at the New York EDITION

The place to be this week–at least at night–is definitely the newly opened New York EDITION hotel. Just like in December during Art Basel Miami Beach, when we kept finding ourselves back in the basement of the sprawling resort, this week for Frieze New York we keep finding ourselves back at the EDITION on Madison Avenue.

Lucky for Whitewall, on Wednesday night, we were a part of the action as we hosted an event at the Ian Schrager property celebrating the new Whitewaller app. Artists Daniel Arsham, Hank Willis Thomas, Zoe Buckman, and PULSE Fair Director Helen Toomer all played host for the night. Copies of Whitewall’s spring 2015 Art Issue, with cover design by José Parlá and features on Arsham, Buckman, and Toomer, could be found around the lobby bar. While guests sipped on wine, champagne, and cocktails in copper cups, they were encouraged to download the Whitewaller app, the must-have digital companion for Frieze Week.

Alongside Buckman, Toomer, and Thomas as hosts, Whitewall’s publisher Michael Klug, editor-in-chief Katy Donoghue, and Whitewaller editor Claire Breukel welcomed guests like Rosario Dawson, Olivia Wilde, Art Miami New York’s Katelijne De Backer, Nir Hod, Marc Spiegler, and Xaviera Simmons.
