No contributor

In celebration of a collaboration between Grey Goose Vodka and artist Kehinde Wiley, guests gathered at the home of David Grutman for one in a series of exclusive events occurring during Art Basel Miami Beach last week. At this special reception, the “Modern Kings of Culture” portraits by Wiley were previewed together for the first time, and were later be auctioned off for charity in collaboration with Sotheyby’s.

Guests submitted pre-bids on the portraits of Spike Lee, Swiz Beatz, and Carmelo Anthony before their public auction at the SLS Hotel. The event began with a cocktail reception, where guests such as Michael Bay, Scottie and Larsa Pippen, Jason Binn, and Thierry Guetta enjoyed poolside hors d’oeuvres and Grey Goose Le Melon cocktails. The proceeds from the auction will be donated to Lee’s, Beatz’s, and Anthony’s respective charities―The Carmelo Anthony Foundation, the Swizz Beatz Bronx Charter School for the Arts, and the NYU Graduate Film Production Fund.
