Whitewaller Milan 2019 Debuts for Design Week

What an inspiring time to be in Milan. This is our second edition of Whitewaller Milan, and we’re thrilled to be back for miart and Salone del Mobile.Milano this April. It’s a time of year when the city sees the largest influx of visitors, and it’s no surprise why.

Between the fair weeks, brands across fashion, design, and technology present new collections, special installations, and unique projects. We’re excited to get a taste of where design is headed in the future.

In our pages, you’ll hear from miart director Alessandro Rabottini on the impact of art history and contemporary art colliding within the fair walls. Claudio Luti, the man behind Salone del Mobile.Milano, shares his love of beauty and the city of Milan. We also chat with architect John Pawson about the special redesign of Valextra’s boutique, Chef Massimo Bottura, 10 Corso Como’s Carla Sozzani, curator Melissa Harris about the show she put together at Fondazione Prada, and one of Loewe’s latest collaborators, Arko.

It’s also a great time to visit museums like Triennale di Milano, Fondazione Nicola Trussardi, Fondazione Carriero, and Fondazione Prada. Galleries like Cardi, Gió Marconi, Nilufar, and more have new spring exhibitions you won’t want to miss.

After getting to know the city neighborhood by neighborhood, be sure to check out the bars, restaurants, hotels, and shops we recommend. And of course, get an in-the-know perspective on the unexpected side of Milan in our Insider section.

It’s a wild week with tons of crossovers between creative worlds, but with Whitewaller on your side, you’ll know what’s what.
