The Related Group’s Chairman & CEO Jorge Perez and Whitewall Magazine’s Founder & Publisher Michael Klug hosted an event last Friday to celebrate Marea, the new boutique residences in Miami Beach’s up-and-coming neighborhood, South of Fifth.
The evening celebrated artists Riccardo De Marchi and Markus Linnenbrink, commissioned to create site-specific works for the new property. Both artists were in Miami for the occasion, and for Art Basel Miami Beach (we saw a few of Linnebrink’s works at both the main fair and UNTITLED.).

Perrin Paris’ New York Brand Director Chloe Perrin acted as co-host for the night, sporting a just-overnighted, one-of-a-kind Capitale Clutch created by an LA-based graffiti artist. Whitewall’s Editor in Chief Katy Donoghue and Director of Marketing and Events Ashley Abbott Clairmont sported gloved clutches, as well.
Guests enjoyed champagne from Nicolas Feuillatte (we especially enjoyed the rosé) while wandering between the indoor/outdoor venue. Delicious hors d’oeuvres of beef and pine nut puff pastry, mini grilled cheese, smoked salmon, and duck made the rounds, too.
