Ruinart, the official champagne partner of Frieze London, is celebrating craft this week with a special eight-course meal by Chris Denney of 108 Garage. Available at the restaurant on weekends through October 20, the dinner welcomes guests to a creative menu entitled “Reveal the (In)Visible,” inspired by eight commissioned works on view at Frieze (through October 7) by Ruinart Artist of the Year Liu Bolin.
“Ruinart has a strong connection to gastronomy and has connected with the world’s most creative chefs for many years,” said Frédéric Dufour, President of Ruinart. “The experience at 108 Garage with Chris Denney truly encapsulates Ruinart’s connection to contemporary creation and ‘vivre est un art’ (living as an art form).”
Bolin’s works heighten the brand’s “living as an art form” ethos, shown in his signature style of blending subjects into their backgrounds, revealing the hidden facets of the esteemed champagne house. And now, at 108 Garage, guests can experience dishes that create revelation-like responses, paired with a glass of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, Ruinart Rosé NV or Dom Ruinart Rosé.
“This collaboration with Ruinart has allowed me to follow my passion of using unique ingredients to create a menu that is both visually astounding and appetizing,” said Denney. “It has been an exceptionally creative and inspiring journey that has tapped into the very essence of what I strive for in terms of an explorative culinary experience.”
