St. Regis Unveils Luscious Luxury Hotel in Malaysian Geopark

No contributor

The St. Regis has announced the debut of its newest hotel in Malaysia: The St. Regis Langkawi. The hotel’s spacious suites and trio of water villas—featuring wall-to-wall windows and hanging lights—overlook the Andaman Sea and the Straits of Malacca, with a location tucked away within Malaysia’s first “geopark,” or ecotourism hotspot protected by the United Nations. Designed by the American architecture firm Gensler, the Langkawi shares the classic grandeur typical of St. Regis resorts, with polished tile floors and lush hanging ferns welcoming guests from entrance to exit.

Dining options include à la carte breakfast from the panoramic L’Orangerie, specialty Asian fusion cuisine at the Kayuputi restaurant, cocktails from the mural-etched St. Regis Bar, and the golden Decanter wine bar. Relaxing retreats, such as the Iridium Spa or the palm-bordered main pool, pair with romantic hideaways, including garden courtyards and a beach cabana with a table for two. Opening April 6, 2016, this luxury haven will be the first St. Regis hotel to open in Malaysia.
